Car Charging Group to install EV charging stations in Dania Beach, Florida

CTBR Staff Writer Published 26 August 2010

Car Charging Group, a provider of EV charging stations, and the city of Dania Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) have collaborated to install and maintain EV charging stations at the city's new garage, located near City Hall in Dania Beach, Florida.

Under the partnership agreement Diana Beach requires Car Charging Group to install four Coulomb Technologies ChargePoint Networked charging stations for EVs at the garage that will be available for use to the public.

Further, Car Charging will facilitate additional installations of EV charging stations as the need for additional units becomes necessary.

Car Charging leverages various government tax incentives, subsidies, loan guarantees and grants to provide EV charging stations at no charge to property owners/managers by retaining ownership and realizing a percentage of the charging revenue generated.

Car Charging Group CEO Michael Farkas said that this partnership helps to support the need for EV charging stations nationwide, and the company is thrilled to have a nearby town help lay the foundation.

"We are pleased to be participating in Dania Beach's hard work to become an eco-conscious town and applaud the city on its efforts," Farkas said.
